Before we brush off 2017, let’s celebrate what’s been achieved! Whether you go to work in a suit -or- a side-pony, it’s important to reflect on milestones and what made the year so special.

I’m a huge fan of celebrating accomplishments. Not only is recognition important for the human spirit but it makes us feel valued and appreciated. Over the past year, you’ve accomplished a lot, but didn’t necessarily recognize it at the time. So get out a pen, complete the following sentences, and look at the amazing things you’ve done!

Just for fun, finish the sentences below…

I am proud to:___________________________

I am delighted to be: _______________________

I’m inspired by: ___________________________

I’m grateful for:___________________________

After some thoughtful reflection, these are my answers:

  • I’m proud to teach my children that anything can be built with care, hard work, and perseverance.

  • I’m delighted to be the pioneer of the world’s first breastfeeding clip. Not only is LatchPal a top selling Amazon Choice Product, but it’s received a Family Choice Award, has been shared by Alyssa Milano, and is now being sold on Walmart.com.

  • I’m inspired by this years extraordinary friendships and partnerships.

  • I’m grateful for every customer, advocate, opportunity, partnership, Facebook “Like” and social share.

While 2017 has drawn to a close, our triumphs live on. So, let’s raise a glass to the goals we’ve realized and what lies ahead. Happy New Year!

xo, Melissa

breastfeeding shirt clip
Written by Melissa LaHann, Founder and CEO of Happy Fig, LLC

Like many moms before her, Melissa cradled her hungry, crying baby as she clumsily adjusted her bra and sat uncomfortably holding up her shirt. She needed a better solution, so she created LatchPal, the first nursing clip of its kind.

LatchPal is a breastfeeding shirt clip that holds up a mother’s shirt during breastfeeding. It eliminates shirt re-positioning and feeding disruptions. LatchPal was designed with moms in mind. The multi-use solution only requires one hand to latch. It’s a must-have breastfeeding accessory and essential for post-partum moms, pumping moms, and nursing in public.
